The only cone top to hold 32 oz. was designed and marketed by the Continental Can Company in 1937.

cone top comparison

The quart cone top held more than twice the beer of the much more common 12 oz. cone top. This quart can was produced due to the success of 32 oz. and 64 oz. bottles. Many breweries decided to market their beer in both 12 oz. and 32 oz. cone tops. Today some collectors also like to collect the matching pair. Usually the quart cone top is scarcer than the same 12 oz. cone top.

This large can was more of a novelty than a practical beer can. It's days were numbered from the start, but the metal shortages of World War II ended the reign of the quart cone top.
